What does “recorded on the blockchain” actually mean?
You don’t need to understand the technology to trust it — here is the whole idea in one breath:
Think of a public notary’s logbook that the whole world can read but no one can erase or rewrite. When we record your will, we don’t store the words — we store a unique fingerprint of your photograph and the exact date. From then on, anyone can check that fingerprint and see your will existed, unchanged, on that day. Change a single pen-stroke and the fingerprint no longer matches.
That’s all the blockchain is here: a permanent, public logbook that proves what and when — and that no one tampered with it after.
